I purchased this rolling pin specifically for homemade Oreo-style cookies and they turned out really well and really pretty. It's such a unique item that I think it's easy not to dismiss as unneccessary, but in final presentation, the aesthetics made a perfect impression with my guests.

I am excited to use this product to make ginger cookies for Christmas. It is exactly what I was looking for and the price was right also.

I ordered this with hesitation because I've tried a pastry mat several years ago and hated it. But I am happy to say that I love this thing. I've already used it and it worked great! The mat stays put on my countertop and nothing stuck on the rolling pin when I was rolling out pie dough. The mat is a nice large mat with plenty of room to work pie dough. I cleaned my pastry mat with a wet cloth and simply rolled it up and put it away.

I got this cute rolling pin for my mother-in-law, who makes Christmas cookies every year. The design goes evenly around the rolling pin and seems to be engraved pretty deeply. I tried to get a good picture to show the depth. I'm assuming you would have to use dough that doesn't flatten to get a good print. The little cookie cutters that come with it are small but would work fine if you don't have any other cutters. I'll update with a picture of the cookies once my MIL bakes some. It would make a great stocking stuffer for a person that seems to have everything or that you can never figure out what to get them. I plan to grab one for myself and dust off the seldom used KitchenAid!
